One major issue is mobile addiction. But would you believe that nowadays, some people are frightened by the sound of a ringig phones ? It seems unbelievable, yet in Britain, over 25 lakh young individuals are scared by this sound. This condition is known as call anxiety or telephobia, and a course is being offered to help alleviate this fear.

Millions are affected by telephobia

Telephobia is essentially a stress symptom, where individuals neither feel like conversing with anyone nor answering calls. This stress leads to silence, and as a result, they become afraid of a ringing phone. Today, millions are troubled by this issue.

How is telephobia being treated?

Treatment for telephobia has begun. Coaching sessions are being conducted at Nottingham College, UK. In these classes, students learn how to communicate when receiving calls, boosting their confidence and helping them recover from telephobia. Additionally, they are encouraged to engage in conversations with others.

Moreover, those affected by telephobia are taught how to effectively express themselves over the phone. Coaching classes also focus on helping them communicate their points clearly.

Why are only the youth affected by this condition?

A report indicates that most young people today primarily communicate through messaging, rarely making phone calls. This leads to hesitancy during calls. A survey revealed that 70% of individuals aged 18 to 34 prefer messaging, as it is their comfort zone. This is why they are more susceptible to this condition.

In Rajasthan, a woman orchestrated the rape of a minor girl by her son and later sold her for prostitution.

The court has now sentenced the woman to life imprisonment, describing her as a menace to society. This incident dates back to 2014, with a case filed at the Galta Gate police station in Jaipur regarding the girl's abduction.

The police intervened and located the missing girl after approximately 10 months. During questioning, the girl revealed that a woman named Karishma alias Kasso, along with her son Sapna and a girl named Naina, took her from Rajasthan to Shikohabad in Uttar Pradesh. There, her minor son raped her. Additionally, she was forced into prostitution, and when she resisted, the woman burned her with hot tongs.

Left at the railway station

Subsequently, Karishma and her son attempted to sell her to two individuals. The woman first took her to a man named Bablu, then to Firozabad to meet Manju. The girl claimed that when the mother and son failed to get a satisfactory price for her at both locations, they left her with Manju. Manju's sister-in-law, Balli, intervened and rescued the girl from the accused mother-son duo and Manju, eventually leaving her at the Jaipur railway station.

Woman sentenced to life imprisonment

Following this, when the police found the girl, they initiated proceedings. The police filed charges against Karishma and her son in 2016 and 2014. In this case, 18 witnesses and 14 documents were presented in court. The court issued arrest warrants for Karishma, her son, her accomplice Naina, her daughter Sapna, Manju, and Bablu. The POCSO court of Jaipur Metropolitan 1 has now sentenced the woman to life imprisonment.
