STOCK MARKET TODAY : On the fourth day of the trading week, the stock market closed in the green zone with fluctuations. The Sensex on BSE closed at 78,536.30 with a jump of 63 points. At the same time, the Nifty on NSE closed at 23,753.25 with a gain of 0.11 percent. It remained stable during the last hours of trading.

During today's trading, shares of Adani Ports, Shriram Finance, M&M, Maruti Suzuki, SBI Life Insurance were included in the list of top gainers on Nifty. While shares of Titan Company, Asian Paints, Nestle, JSW Steel, Grasim Industries were included in the list of top losers.

BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices traded flat.

On the sectoral front, buying was seen in Auto, Energy, Pharma, Realty, PSU Bank, while selling was seen in Metal, FMCG, Media.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, only 12 were in the green. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited gained the most by 3.25 percent and was trading at Rs 1,221. It was followed by Maruti Suzuki India Limited which was trading at Rs 10,898.70 with a gain of +1.52 percent and Mahindra & Mahindra Limited which was trading at Rs 2,974.20 with a gain of +1.49 percent.
