children's: It's typical for children to experience coughs and colds in winter, but if these issues occur frequently, they should not be overlooked. What seems like a minor issue can escalate into something more serious. The cold in winter weakens children's immunity, increasing their likelihood of falling ill. Coughing isn't solely caused by a cold; it can also indicate a more serious illness. Various diseases can arise in children due to coughing.

Coughing, fever, and sneezing are common among children during the winter season. Children often venture outside with insufficient clothing, making them susceptible to colds and flu. Parents should ensure children are protected from the cold and provide them with warm water to drink.

Pneumonia

The risk of pneumonia in children rises during the winter. Symptoms include a severe cough, difficulty breathing, and a high fever, causing children to feel hot. Warm clothing and a cozy home environment are essential, and mustard oil massages can be beneficial. If symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

Bronchitis (inflammation of the respiratory tract)

In winter, children may suffer from prolonged coughs with mucus and wheezing, leading to swelling in the respiratory tract. Instant medical attention is required in such cases.

TB (Tuberculosis)

While tuberculosis can affect individuals of any age, children with weak immunity are particularly vulnerable. If a child has a cough lasting more than two weeks, is losing weight, and experiences night sweats, they should be tested for TB promptly. Early treatment of TB leads to a quicker recovery. Ensure children wear warm clothing in winter and limit outdoor exposure. Additionally, maintain cleanliness in the home.
