BPSC exam : In Bihar, protests continue over the BPSC exam. Despite the prolonged demonstrations, no resolution has been reached. Jan Suraj Party leader Prashant Kishore has been on a hunger strike for the past 10 days, and today marks the 11th day. During this time, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav has called for a Bihar bandh today, demanding a re-examination of the BPSC. On January 3, Pappu Yadav and his supporters also blocked roads in support of BPSC candidates, leading to the stoppage of passenger trains in Patna.
The impact of a mild bandh is becoming evident in many parts of Bihar, including Patna. In support of the bandh, a group of students attempted to block Ashok Rajpath in front of Patna University under the banner of Chhatra Yuva Shakti. Pappu Yadav plans to march with his supporters from Income Tax Golambar to Dak Bungalow Square.
Blockade on National Highway
Claiming rigging in the BPSC exam, a paper leak, and mistreatment of students, supporters of Pappu Yadav have blocked NH 31 in Begusarai today following his call, chanting slogans against the government. Previously, Pappu Yadav had stated that during the Bihar bandh, the national highway and railways would remain open, and only the market would be shut. Despite this, the national highway has been closed.
Following the appeal of the Purnia MP, his supporters have been taking to the streets since morning to shut down the market. Additionally, Pappu Yadav has reached out to other political parties for backing this bandh.
Seeking support for the bandh with folded hands
Supporters of independent MP Pappu Yadav from Purnia protested on Ashok Rajpath in Patna, calling for the cancellation and re-examination of the BPSC exam. During the protest, they are seeking public support for the bandh with folded hands. Additionally, incidents of arson have been reported.
