Dario became Vishnu. Couples from Italy, America, and Peru who visited Ujjain's Parmanand Yoga Ashram were so captivated by Indian culture that they exchanged vows according to Hindu customs, understanding the essence of these vows through English translations.

Dario became Vishnu: Indian culture has a profound impact on people worldwide. Many come to explore, comprehend, and embrace it in their lives. This influence is evident from the banks of the Ganga in Banaras to the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. Recently, three couples from Italy, America, and Peru visited Parmanand Yoga Ashram in Ujjain to learn yoga. During their stay, they immersed themselves in Indian culture and were so impressed that they decided to marry according to Vedic rituals.
Let's delve into this story. The Parmanand Institute of Yoga Science and Research India offers a yoga training course. Dario and Martina from Italy, Ian and Gabriela from America, and Maurzio and Nelmas from Peru participated in this course. While there, they learned about both yoga and Indian traditions. According to Dr. Omanand Maharaj, head of Parmanand Yoga Center, these couples were so inspired by Indian traditions that they chose to marry following Hindu customs.
Haldi-Mehndi ceremony was held in Indore
When they shared their wish with their yoga guru, the ashram organized their wedding. The three grooms arrived at the Parmanand Yoga Ashram in Ninora on well-decorated horses. Meanwhile, the brides, with mehendi on their hands, awaited the arrival of the baraat, wearing veils. Their marriage was solemnized with Vedic mantras. Dr. Omanand mentioned that prior to this, the ashram held a haldi, mehndi ceremony, and Bhakti Yoga Kirtan in Indore. The meaning of the seven vows was explained to the bride and groom in English.
Names changed before marriage
Since the marriage followed Hindu customs, all three grooms and brides adopted Hindu names before the ceremony. Dario became Vishnu Anand, and Martina was named Ma Mangalanand. Similarly, Ian was renamed Acharya Ramdas Anand, and Gabriella became Ma Samanand. Maurzio took the name Prakashanand, and Nelmas became Ma Nityanand. Dr. Omanand stated that in foreign countries, marriage is often seen as a contract, but in India, it is lived through relationships. Foreigners have come to understand this.
