Smartphones are always at risk of being stolen. To safeguard your device, you can use Google Theft Protection features. These services offer security measures such as phone locking, tracking, and data deletion. These features are enabled to ensure your phone's protection.

Google Theft Protection : Smartphone theft is a widespread issue. If your phone is stolen, you not only lose the device but also risk exposing your personal information. However, there's no need to worry, as Google offers special security features for Android phones to keep them safe. These features are part of Google Theft Protection and are readily available on Android 10 or later versions.
Google Theft Protection is a security service specifically designed to safeguard your phone and data from theft. If your phone is stolen, this service can lock the device, track it, and even erase your phone's data. All these features significantly enhance your phone's security.
Google Theft Protection: How to turn it on
Activating Google Theft Protection is very easy. Just follow some easy steps:
Open the Settings app on the phone.
Now scroll down and tap on Security and Privacy.
Then go to the Device Unlock option.
Here you will find the option of Theft Protection. Select it.
Now you will see many options, such as Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock, Remote Lock, and Find My Device.
Enable all these features. For enhanced security, authentication should be conducted using biometric data (such as fingerprint or face unlock).
Google Theft Protection: Features
Here are some important features of Google Theft Protection.
Theft Detection Lock: This function protects your phone by locking it when it detects suspicious activity. It activates instantly if it suspects the phone may be stolen.
Offline Device Lock: When your phone is not connected to the internet, this function secures the screen, maintaining the phone's safety without needing an internet connection.
Remote Lock: This function enables you to secure your phone from any location. Just go to android.com/lock to lock your device. If your phone is offline, it will automatically lock once it connects to the internet again.
Locate and Wipe Device: This feature allows you to find your phone and, if it is stolen, delete all data to protect your personal information from thieves.
Important Note
The Theft Detection Lock might not work properly on phones that are connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Regular use of Bluetooth devices could disrupt its function. Locking the phone multiple times may temporarily deactivate the Theft Detection Lock, possibly leading to false alerts.
