More than one lakh people were evacuated from the area

Following the devastating fire, over 100,000 individuals have been evacuated from the region and relocated to safety. Simultaneously, a new blaze erupted in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, on Wednesday (January 8), prompting further evacuations.

The Palisades fire in the western area has ravaged approximately 15,832 acres. Footage from KTLA TV displayed rows of homes engulfed in flames and plumes of smoke rising in Pacific Palisades.

AccuWeather, a private American forecasting company, reported on Wednesday (January 8) that the California forest fires rank among the most destructive in history.
