In 30 years, India has progressed : 4 times more than France, the figures are giving testimony..

In terms of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), India's economy was valued at 0.5 trillion dollars in 1983, compared to France's economy, which was 0.7 trillion dollars. Thirty years later, India's PPP GDP has grown to approximately 17 trillion dollars, whereas France's economy has remained steady at about 4.5 trillion dollars.

In 30 years, India has progressed

In 30 years, India has progressed : The projections for India's economy this financial year are not promising. The government's initial advance estimate for GDP growth is under 7 percent, which is lower than last year's actual GDP growth rate of 8.2 percent. Despite this, India's growth remains the highest among major countries globally. Many European nations are currently lagging significantly in economic terms. In terms of the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) model, India's economy ranks as the third largest GDP in the world, not fourth or fifth.

Interestingly, France, once one of Europe's major countries, had a larger PPP economy than India. However, by 2025, India has significantly surpassed France. Let's also look back at the PPP economies of India and France three decades ago, in 1983, to see how much France was ahead of India then. By 2025, we'll see how far the Indian economy has progressed and how much it has surpassed France.

India is the third largest economy in the world

Although India's nominal economy ranks as the 5th largest globally, in terms of PPP, it is the third largest after the United States and China. It is estimated that India's PPP economy will reach $17.36 trillion in 2025, up from $16 trillion in 2024. This indicates a growth of more than $1 trillion in India's PPP economy for 2025. Regarding India's nominal GDP, it is the 5th largest worldwide, with an estimated size of $3.8 trillion, which could increase to $4.27 trillion in 2025. The government aims to boost the country's GDP to $5 trillion by the end of 2025.
