Madhya Pradesh : In Madhya Pradesh, several actions are being taken after money and gold were found in Bhopal. Over the last week, raids have been conducted at various sites throughout the state. Meanwhile, the Income Tax Department has raided the home of former BJP MLA Harvansh Singh Rathore in Sagar, leading to widespread panic in the region.
The raid took place while Harvansh Singh Rathore was being considered for the role of district president. The operation is currently in progress at Rathore's bungalow in the Sadar area. A team conducted the raid, arriving in about 10 vehicles. When news of the raid spread, local residents and Rathore's supporters gathered at the scene.
The Income Tax Department team is conducting its investigation behind closed doors. Complaints about irregularities in transactions related to the bidi business and declared properties led to this raid. It is reported that the Rathore family possesses properties across different regions of the country.
Harvansh Singh Rathore held the positions of MLA and minister during Shivraj's administration, continuing his father's legacy. In 2013, he represented the Banda assembly constituency in Sagar district as an MLA. His father, Harnam Singh Rathore, also served as a minister in the Shivraj government. Both Harvansh and his brother, Kuldeep Rathore, are actively participating in politics and are presently competing for the role of BJP district president. However, the Income Tax raid might weaken their prospects.
Raid can make big revelations
This raid is expected to reveal a substantial amount of undeclared assets and cash. The Rathore family runs several businesses in the Sagar district and engages in large-scale property transactions. Currently, officials from the Income Tax Department are reviewing documents associated with these properties.
