Nepal : The first anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ramlala's idol at Ayodhya's Ram temple was celebrated with grandeur in Janakpur, Nepal, the city of Mata Sita. To commemorate this special event, 1.25 lakh lamps were lit. The Dhanusha branch of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Nepal organized this celebration in the historic city of Janakpur, showcasing grand and beautiful tableaux. A variety of colorful programs, including havan, Ganga Aarti, and rangoli, were also conducted in the premises of the Janaki temple.
Ashutosh Jha, the national spokesperson for Janaki Sena, told the media that on this day last year, they celebrated the Ramlala festival by lighting hundreds of thousands of diyas. They illuminated Janakpuri with 1.25 lakh lamps last year.
The city of Mata Sita marked this day in a special way by organizing beautiful tableaux and a havan. To commemorate the first anniversary of 'Pran Pratishtha' this year, Janakpuri was illuminated with 1.25 lakh lamps. The team responsible for the Maang Ganga Aarti arranged a magnificent aarti for Mata Janaki ji. The temple grounds were beautifully decorated with stunning rangoli designs.
Mahabhishek performed in Ayodhya
During the auspicious occasion of Ramlala's Pran Pratishtha, the Mahabhishek of Shri Ramlala was performed at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. This ceremony took place on January 11, 2025, according to the Hindu calendar.
The previous year, this holy event was celebrated on Kurma Dwadashi during the Shukla Paksha of the Paush month in the Hindu calendar. As a result, this year, Shukla Paksha falls on January 11.
