Robin Uthappa, a member of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team, has revealed significant information about Virat Kohli. Uthappa claimed that Virat intentionally excluded a player from the team, who was a strong candidate for the ODI World Cup.

Virat Kohli : is regarded as one of India's most successful captains. Although the Indian team did not secure any ICC trophies under his leadership, their dominance was evident in all three formats. In early 2022, he stepped down entirely from the captaincy of Team India. However, years later, 2007 T20 World Cup winner Robin Uthappa revealed significant information about Virat Kohli. According to Uthappa, Virat had a dislike for a particular player, which led to the player's exclusion from the 2019 ODI World Cup squad.
Robin Uthappa's big allegation on Virat
Robin Uthappa's recent statement has attracted a lot of attention. He alleged that Virat Kohli was responsible for the end of Yuvraj Singh's career. Now, Uthappa has made a surprising comment about the relationship between Virat and former Team India player Ambati Rayudu. Uthappa claims that Virat didn't like Rayudu, which resulted in his exclusion from the 2019 World Cup team. It's notable that Ambati Rayudu was a strong contender for the 2019 World Cup. However, when the team was announced, his name was absent from the squad. Instead, Vijay Shankar was selected to go to England, which was an unexpected decision.
In an interview with Lallantop, Robin Uthappa stated, "If Virat Kohli disliked someone, that individual would be excluded from the team. Ambati Rayudu serves as a prime example. While everyone has their preferences, you can't close the doors on a player after achieving a certain status. Rayudu had his World Cup outfit, kit bag, everything prepared at home. Naturally, a player would assume he is going to participate in the World Cup. However, the opportunity was then taken from him. In my view, this was unfair."
International career of Ambati Rayudu
Ambati Rayudu began his international career in 2013 and played his final match for Team India in 2019. During this period, Rayudu participated in 55 ODIs and 6 T20 matches for India. In ODIs, he amassed 1694 runs with an average of 47.05, including 10 half-centuries and 3 centuries. In T20s, he scored 42 runs. Rayudu retired from all formats of Indian cricket in May 2023.
