Uttarakhand is currently experiencing extremely cold conditions, with dense fog in many regions. The weather department forecasts dry conditions in several parts of Uttarakhand for the next three days. Following this period, rain is expected in Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Tehri, Almora, and Mussoorie.

weather :The weather in Uttarakhand seems to be changing, with many areas currently experiencing freezing temperatures. In some places, the sun emerges by midday, offering some relief from the cold. The plains are witnessing rain, while the mountainous regions are receiving snowfall. Nonetheless, dense fog is widespread.


On Monday, dark clouds gathered over Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, with the sun occasionally hidden. As the day ended, strong cold winds blew through, making the weather even colder. However, Tuesday brought clear skies. Most districts in Uttarakhand encountered dense fog on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather for Uttarakhand from January 7 to January 10.


Rain alert in these districts

Furthermore, the Meteorological Department predicts snowfall in the state's mountainous areas on January 11 and 12. Simultaneously, some districts may encounter rain. Light rain is anticipated in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Dehradun, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Mussoorie, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, and Haridwar on January 11 and 12. Afterward, the weather is expected to clear up on January 13.


What is the temperature today?

A warning has been issued about dense fog affecting several areas in Uttarakhand. In Dehradun, the maximum temperature today is 22 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is 7 degrees Celsius. Nainital will see a high of 16 degrees Celsius and a low of 5 degrees Celsius. Mukteshwar's temperatures are expected to peak at 15 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 4 degrees Celsius. In Pantnagar, the maximum temperature is 22 degrees Celsius, and the minimum is 8 degrees Celsius.
